Happy Birthday to the U.S., to us

On our 243rd birthday!

Oh, say can you see?

The breathtaking spacious skies,  the amber waves of grain,  the purple mountain majesties  above the fruited plains.

America, America

God shed His grace on thee   And crown thy good with brotherhood,

from sea to

shining sea.

The above words are based on a poem by Katherine Lee Bates, written in 1893 in Colorado.

The above pictures were taken 0n cross-country trips,  in neighborhoods, at celebrationsfrom trails in Colorado to the shores of the Pacific.
