International Activities

  • Member of delegation to meetings in Moscow and  Leningrad  (now St. Petersburg)  between American women, leaders in their communities,  with Soviet women leaders. Purpose of the meetings was to promote peace,  establish relationships and exchange experiences.
  • Volunteer  in Paris, France, for the School and Classroom Program of People-to-People, Inc. to establish connections and exchanges between American and French classes.  Later became Acting Director of the program.

Personal life

The first-born of five children, Patricia Schudy was brought up as the oldest daughter to be both a leader and nurturer.  Those roles continued in adulthood. She became a wife, mother of five and grandmother of eight  while developing careers as a journalist,  youth advocate and author.  Pat and her late husband raised five children in the midwest before moving to Colorado, where she now resides.

Other interests: Grabbing her camera and heading out to capture the beauty she finds in individuals and nature.  She’s also been told she makes really good chocolate-chip cookies.
